September Calendar Roosevelt Ave

It's September! We're nearing the end of summer and the beginning of Autumn. The leaves are starting to change colors, and the weather's getting cooler. It's a great time to start making a new sweater, cardigan, or maybe even socks (Jacqui's least favorite 😏), and this month's colorway, Roosevelt Ave, would be the perfect color for your fall project!

I think Roosevelt Ave is a really interesting colorway. The colors are SO beautiful, the contrast between the deep purple-ish color and the warm yellows and oranges. I feel like you could make a whole story or maybe a poem just based on this color. Now getting to the point, the inspiration for Roosevelt Ave was Roosevelt Ave! Diana (the creator) said, "Roosevelt Ave in real life was always a darker, moody street because of the elevated train tracks casting shadows on the street. But then, at corners, there would be some sunlight bursting through. That was what I was thinking of when I created that colorway". Just reading that, I can imagine a whole short film. If you're interested in enjoying this fascinating color, Diana recommends making something cozy. I could see this as a beautiful cowl or headbands.
